Compensation of €20,000 was granted to a young Russian tourist by a hotel's insurance company in Cyprus after she was bitten by a venomous snake
The young tourist visited Cyprus with her mother for their summer vacation. Upon arrival at the hotel and while walking in the outdoor gardens of the hotel, the 18-year-old was bitten by a venomous reptile (viper) and was immediately taken to the Paphos General Hospital. Due to her critical condition, she was hospitalized in the intensive care unit under strong medication. For a long period of time she was unable to walk and was eventually put in a wheelchair with difficulties to perform her daily duties without the help of a third person. The amount of €20,000 was offered by the hotel’s insurance company in order to withdraw the lawsuit which had previously been filed by our law firm.
