Compensation of €19,000 was given to a guest of a hotel in Ayia Napa by the hotel’s insurance company. The hotel’s guest, while walking in the hotel grounds, was injured as a result of a fall into a gap in the ground on a corridor leading inside the hotel that had no railing. The width of the corridor question was gradually reduced, and created a gap, a form of a trap seeing as this access didn’t have a protective railing and lacked adequate lighting.
As a result of the fall, the injured suffered a fracture of the elbow of his right hand. He was treated with an adjustable elbow guard and underwent regular physiotherapy. Furthermore, as a result of the fall, he suffered a right ankle sprain, injuries/abrasions to his right and left knee, a enlarged toe on his left foot, and suffered from dizziness.
